The arrest and detainment of a UK-based journalist last week is raising questions not just about freedom of speech, but about the definition of ‘terrorism’. Richard Medhurst, who’s work I’ve dipped into periodically over the years, was arrested and put into solitary confinement: and he says his future – and his ability to continue his work – is now in limbo.
