As if the 2024 Presidential Election saga could get any more suspicious.
But as the ongoing TV drama/satire that is this American election year continues, naturally new plot twists keep emerging every few days.
The latest being Joe Biden finally appearing to cave to pressure and relinquish his second presidential bid: with Kamala Harris stepping up to fight the campaign against Trump instead.
But, just days on from the confused and dramatic assassination event in Pennsylvania, even this quickly became the subject of conspiracy murmurings.
Specifically, the question: ‘Is Joe Biden Actually Alive?’
A lot of people don’t think he is.
Let’s unpack this a little.
People have pointed to the questionable letter that the president issued, announcing his withdrawal from the campaign.
First, the letter had forgotten to mention nominating or endorsing Kamala Harris as his replacement.
This was quickly amended in a follow-up statement.
Then it was noted by some that the letter was not written on official White House paper and was missing any official seal.
Which admittedly was curious.
Others observed that his signature didn’t look right.
Then there’s a bigger question: for such an important and momentous statement, why didn’t Biden make a proper speech to the nation, either to the press or in a recorded address?
Why did he only issue a written note? It seems a little odd: a little un-presidential.
Some proceeded to theorise that the president was in fact no longer alive – and that it was being covered up.
Even more extreme theorists suggested he might’ve even been offed by the Democrats because he was refusing to withdraw from the race – and that they were now pretending he had withdrawn voluntarily.
What happened next? A day later, audio of a phone-call from the President was played at Kamala Harris’s first public event since she was announced as the Democrat nominee.
This was presented as a live phone-call message of support to Harris from the President.
But it’s a very strange spectacle, I have to say. Everyone stands there as this audio is played to the audience.
There’s something that feels off about this footage. It doesn’t help that the camera never pulls back or pans around, meaning we never see the audience or how big it is.
The camera keeps a very tight angle on the podium the whole time – and it feels a little off. Frequent audible reactions from the crowd also feel a little forced and inauthentic.
At any rate, having the phone-call played did little to stop the online paranoia.
Even if Biden couldn’t show up in person to demonstrate his support, a video call should’ve been feasible – using Zoom, Skype or one of the other methods.
Also, as some noted, the audio message is very clear, fluid and largely error-free. No slurring of speech, no pauses or Biden-like senior moments that we’ve gotten used to, no gaffes.
Too perfect, some argue.
Biden hasn’t been speaking as fluently or confidently as that for some time.
Is it fake audio? Is it AI generated, some ask?
It does sound a little at odds with most recent Biden speeches or interviews – as if he’s rewound back a little to a younger version of himself.
I mean, it’s definitely possible.
And that event legitimately looked weird when the audio started being played. It’s almost as if they were panicking and trying to assure everyone, ‘See, he’s okay – and he’s speaking to us right now…’
Kamala does appear to interact briefly with the disembodied voice in real time: if you watch the video above from CNN, this occurs right after she is introduced to the stage. But I guess a doubter would argue that this interaction could be rehearsed.
I don’t know.
It is true that, since the letter was issued announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race, there actually wasn’t any ‘proof of life’ for about two days.
That’s changed as of today: Biden has been filmed briefly, as shown in this news report.
That doesn’t seem to have satisfied the doubters yet, however.
And people can hardly be blamed anymore for being suspicious or paranoid – especially after the madness of July 13th and all the holes in the Trump assassination attempt narrative.
On the other hand, it’s only been a couple of days since the first statement.
If I had to speculate at this point, I would theorise that this stuff with Biden’s stepping down is a touch suspicious – but that I don’t at all think the president is deceased.
While all of the aforementioned details and oddities could be seen as suspicious, what it suggests to me is that Joe Biden might’ve been forced out of the race against his own will.
In that scenario, ‘they’ (I guess senior Democrats, and maybe White House insiders) might’ve faked a letter in his name.
They might also have been in such a rush that they goofed and forgot to include an endorsement of Harris in the statement – and therefore hurriedly issues the amended statement.
And if Biden didn’t step aside willingly, it would also explain why he didn’t make a public address or record a speech.
It would also explain the strange spectacle of the phonecall audio being played at the Kamala Harris event, if it’s true that the audio is simulated.
This body language analyst on YouTube addresses that matter here, and isn’t convinced the audio is a true match for Joe Biden.
It’s curious too that, in the most up-to-date news footage of Biden (shown in the video above), he seems back to his somewhat slow and laboured manner again – and not the fluent, more energetic Biden that was heard in the phone-call audio.
Either way, they seemed a bit desperate to play that phone-call publicly.
But concerning the idea of President Biden being dead though: it was always far-fetched. For one thing, he’s still meant to remain in office until next January – so covering up his death makes no sense, as you can’t cover it up for very long.
The strangeness of how this handover has unfolded I think can be put down to a conspiracy to simply force Biden to step aside against his will.
The DNC has done comparable things in the past: like pressuring Bernie Sanders to step aside for Hillary in 2016. I’m not suggesting Sanders was ‘forced’ in a threatening way necessarily, but certainly there could’ve been coercion and manipulation.
If you watch any recent videos of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, her attitude is very interesting. She seems to have been still behind Biden, and in one or two things I’ve seen of her prior to this week’s events, she was suggesting various Democrat figures were trying to figure out how to take urgent measures to get Biden out of the way.
She also hasn’t supported Kamala Harris’s nomination yet, as far as I know.
Curiously, although Pelosi and others have publicly endorsed Harris, Barack Obama hasn’t – at least not yet. Which is also interesting.
And honestly, I’m not sure we can be sure that Joe Biden has either – despite what we’re being led to believe.
That could well be fake audio: following a possibly faked letter. If so, what a sea of deception and fakery we’re all bobbing up and down in.
The speed at which all of this has transpired – from the Trump assassination rally barely a week ago, to the insanity of the Republican National Convention, to Biden stepping aside and Kamala Harris taking over the contest – has left everyone in a state of confusion.
It’s curious that Biden was repeatedly insisting he would stay in the fight for the election: and then whatever the fuck that was with Trump in Pennsylvania happened last Saturday, and then Biden gets COVID and then shortly after he changes his mind.
Some will say that the elderly Biden having COVID is why he wrote a letter instead of making a speech: and why only audio has been offered since then.
Which is probably a logical assumption.
But how do we know Biden even *had* COVID?
It seems like a pretty timely cover story for behind-the-scenes shenanigans to take place. ‘Hey, uh, the President’s got COVID, so you won’t see him for a few days – oh, by the way, here’s a letter announcing his withdrawal from the contest…’
I mean we’ll probably never know what’s gone on behind closed doors.
It would not surprise me if Joe Biden was conspired against: by Pelosi and others, maybe including Obama.
But again, people’s paranoia is understandable.
The American political arena has become such an over-the-top Hollywood movie at this point that almost *anything* could be true.
And in this age of digital manipulation, AI simulations, and all-round fakery and dishonesty, most people’s impulse now is to distrust everything they see.
But no, I’m sure Joe Biden is alive. I think.
Pretty sure Biden died about 5 years ago and they skillfully hollowed out his corpse and refitted it with the latest robotics and AI controls. All that slurring and stuff is just when the batteries are running a bit flat.
I actually can’t tell whether that’s sarcasm or conspiracy theory. Which shows how weird a time we’re in.
