The Disgusting Fraud of the Nobel Peace Prize Laid Bare…

Maria Machado

“Venezuela’s struggle is Israel’s struggle…” Guess who said that?

It sounds like something Netanyahu would say. But no, it wasn’t him.

While Western media and political response to the US action in Venezuela has been mixed, one thing has caused some dismay in foreign policy circles.

And that’s President Trump’s sidelining of Venezuela’s main opposition leader: the Nobel Prize winner who many are (correctly or incorrectly) calling the ‘legitimate’ winner of the last Venezuelan election.

María Corina Machado, the Western establishment’s desired replacement for Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela, was awarded the prestigious Peace Prize months ago.

It was the same prize that Donald Trump coveted for himself: indeed her acceptance of the award might be one reason why Trump hasn’t included her in the US plan for Venezuela – a fact that has left some commentators baffled.

But what is actually revealed in this is that Machado is clearly a manufactured puppet who was designed to run Venezuela on behalf of the wealthy classes, the corporations, the US and yes, Israel.

One assumes the original vision was for the US to carry out a regime change operation and then for María Corina Machado to be inserted into Caracas as the new leader.

That’s why she was awarded the Nobel Prize: it was part of the propaganda operation to prepare for Venezuelan intervention – build her up as some great, noble figure first and raise her international profile, then install her as a puppet leader in Caracas.

Which means essentially that the Nobel institution has been an active participant in an international regime change conspiracy: collaborating with the US, Israel and the general Western establishment.

If anyone took the Nobel Prize seriously before, they surely can’t anymore.

One assumes that most Western commentators and observers would be more unanimously happy with the Trump administration’s actions if he had stuck to the programme properly and included Machado in the plan.

Unfortunately for them, Trump is unpredictable and doesn’t necessarily stick to the script.

But it’s the Israel aspect that’s most conspicuous. Machado couldn’t be more gushingly pro Israel if she tried.

She had already promised to move the Venezuelan embassy to Jerusalem when she’s in power: bringing her in line with Argentina’s President Millei and Brazil’s Bolsonaro, who both did the same – all of them following Trump himself, who did the same during his first term.

For the record, the moving of embassies to Jerusalem is considered at odds with international law: most countries have their embassies in Tel Aviv, the proper Israeli capital.

Moreover, her passion for Israel and her support for what the Israelis have done in Gaza have been absolute. She is in fact a zealous Zionist cheerleader on a par with a Linsey Graham or a Ted Cruz.

In fact, an April 2025 article in Venezuelan Voices reveals the extent of Machado’s and the Venezuelan opposition’s relationship with the Likud party in Israel and the global far-right/fascist movement.

As the author explains, ‘Convening under the banner of “Patriots for Europe”, two months ago the European extreme right met in Madrid… like some budget, fascist Avengers. Marching under the flags of ultra-nationalism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, and neo-fascism, representatives from France, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Austria, Estonia, Greece, and Poland were hosted…’

The Likud party was present at that meeting, with the Israelis having observer status in the committee.

Guess who else was there? Yes, Maria Machado – the West’s Venezuelan darling and soon-to-be Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

Why was a Venezuelan opposition figure alongside Israeli representatives at a European far-right event?

In her address to the far right summit, she even asserted that “Venezuela today is the greatest threat facing the West on our continent… This is a global war and you are our allies”.

As the aforementioned article explains, Machado is in fact intrinsically tied to the Likud party: ‘In 2020 Machado’s party, Vente Venezuela, formalised a pact with Likud “to forge an alliance between our two parties to cooperate on issues related to strategy, geopolitics and security, among others, in order to create an operational partnership”… “The goal is to bring the people of Israel closer to the people of Venezuela while advancing, together, the Western values to which both parties subscribe…’

The Nobel committee would’ve known all this, of course.

We also know that she has been in frequent contact with Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials in recent months.

Maria Machado Israel tweets

It’s pretty obvious then. Machado was being groomed for the regime change operation.

Israel’s connection to the US raid in Caracas is something we already touched on here a few days ago.

It was Israel talking about Iran and Hezbollah being involved in the Maduro government: a talking point taken up by some media, specifically Fox News, late last year – again, part of laying the groundwork.

And it was Israeli officials who were unabashedly celebrating as soon as the US kidnapping of Maduro had taken place.

In fact, as far back as 2018, it was Machado who asked Netanyahu to intercede with the UN Security Council to bring about intervention in Venezuela.

Maduro and Chavez of course were openly anti Zionist and highly critical of Israel. Chavez in fact accused Mossad of being involved in the US coup attempt of 2002, in which the Venezuelan president was kidnapped.

As it happens, Maduro’s Vice President, and the current interim leader in Caracas following last week’s kidnap operation, has also said there was a ‘Zionist tint‘ to Trump’s raid in Caracas.

The kidnapping of Maduro also came right after Netanyahu was in Washington.

So, make of it what you will. But it’s not hard to connect dots here.

But Maria Machado is a fraud. She was awarded the peace prize purely for geopolitical purposes – as part of a larger plan.

The hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of these institutions is thus laid completely bare.

With Maduro still in US custody, Machado is still, predictably, calling for she and her party to be installed as the legitimate government of Venezuela. So her future as Venezuelan leader might still be on the cards, if Trump can be convinced.

She is reportedly already offering to give him her Nobel Prize: in exchange, one assumes, for being inserted into the leadership of Venezuela.

What a joke.
